Utah Tech provides a satellite academy in Southern Utah, catering to individuals who are contemplating a career in law enforcement.
In concert with Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, our mission is to provide professional standards and training, leadership and certification for peace officers and dispatchers as we work to protect the rights and privileges of Utah’s citizens while elevating the integrity of the profession.
We now offer two sessions each year, held in January and August.
Applications for the January session are closed. Applications will be accepted February 1st through July 18th or until full for the August 2025 session.
The next Special Function Officer (SFO) will begin August 18, 2025, and the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) session will begin January 2026. SFO is a prerequisite for attending LEO.
